Who writes this

Scooter M.. I'm an enthusiast who's genuinely into this. I read the manuals, compile the numbers the manufacturer publishes, and work out what a machine actually costs to run rather than repeating what someone else wrote. I have not printed on the machines on this site, and I say so on every page that recommends one. No lab, no shelf of review units, no invented star ratings.

That is the whole biography, and the things it does not say are deliberate. There is no engineering degree here, no years-in-the- industry claim, no editorial panel, and no shelf of review units. Inventing any of those would be the single easiest thing on this site for somebody to check and disprove.

What this site is for

One kind of reader: somebody buying their first 3D printer, or who has just unboxed one and cannot get the first layer to stick.

Nearly every query in this category has a Reddit thread sitting behind it, and that is a tell. People are routing around published guides to find a real answer, and what they find on a forum is an argument between enthusiasts about hardware the reader does not own yet. This site is the opposite of that room.

We answer. We do not argue. One recommendation per situation, plus a runner-up. The tradeoff named out loud, because a pick with no downside reads as a paid placement. An explicit “skip this one” on every product, which almost nobody in this category publishes and which is the cheapest trust signal available.

What we refuse to claim

We also do not run a testimonials section, because there is nobody to have written one. There are no customer reviews of this site, no awards, and no trading history — it launched in 2026. Where you might expect those things and do not find them, that is not an oversight.

What is here
