Editorial Policy

Independence

• No sponsored placements. No manufacturer or retailer can buy a position in a list, a mention, or a recommendation on this site. If that ever changes for a specific page, that page will say so at the top in plain language.
• No free products. We do not accept review units. We also do not have any, which is stated on every page that recommends a machine.
• No advertiser input on picks. Nobody outside this site sees a page before it publishes or influences what it says.
• Commission does not determine a pick or its order. Where a cheaper product is the better answer for the reader, the cheaper product is the pick. Buyer first, commission second, with no exceptions.

Sourcing standards

• Every specification traces to the manufacturer’s own documentation, cited on the page with the date it was read. Where a manufacturer does not publish a figure, the page says “not published” rather than supplying one.
• Every computed number shows its arithmetic. A running-cost claim publishes its inputs — the wattage, the hours, the electricity rate and its source — and the multiplication, so you can redo it with your own numbers.
• No precise-sounding statistic without its method. This is a standing rule and it exists because the middle of this market is full of the opposite: success rates and reliability figures published with no byline, no sample size, no timeframe and no methodology. We would rather publish nothing than a number we cannot show the working for.
• Prices come only from the live data layer. Where no current price exists, the page shows “check price” and no figure. A remembered price is a wrong price.
• Third-party findings are attributed by name. Where we rely on somebody else’s work, we say whose it is.
• Where we cannot know something without owning a unit, the page says so. Every product entry carries an explicit statement of what we could not assess.

What we will never publish

• A claim of hands-on testing, owned units, or a test lab. We have none of those.
• A credential the author does not hold, or a byline implying staff that does not exist.
• A fabricated review, testimonial, rating or review count.
• A star rating or aggregate rating in structured data derived from our own editorial scoring. The visible score stays on the page; it never enters the JSON-LD, because marking it up as a product rating would imply testing we did not do.
• A buy link for a product that cannot actually be bought.
• A link to an affiliate program we have not joined, dressed up as a recommendation.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, we fix it, and the page records what changed and when. We do not silently edit a page to make a past error disappear.

To report one, email info@nozzleandbed.com or use the contact form. A correction with a link to the manufacturer’s own page is the fastest possible route to getting it fixed, and it is welcome rather than unwelcome.

How often we re-check each page

A stale roundup is worse than no roundup. Competitors in this category currently rank with lineups nobody recommends any more, under fresh-looking date stamps, and this schedule exists to keep us out of that position.

Every page displays the date it was last reviewed, and the sitemap’s last-modified dates come from those real content dates rather than the build timestamp — otherwise the site would claim every page changed every day and the signal would be worthless.

Authorship

Every page on this site is written by Scooter M., an enthusiast. There is no editorial team, no expert panel and no medical or engineering review, and none is implied anywhere. The full position, including exactly what we refuse to claim, is on the about page.

AI and content generation

We do not publish machine-generated text as a substitute for research. Every specification on this site was read from a named source and cited with a date, and every number we computed shows its inputs. Those are the claims that matter here, and they are checkable regardless of what tools were used to write the sentences around them.
