How this works

When you click a buy button on this site and then purchase something, the retailer pays us a small percentage of the sale. You pay exactly the same price you would have paid going there directly — the commission comes out of the retailer’s margin, not out of your pocket.

That is the entire business model. There are no advertisements on this site, no sponsored posts, no paid placements and no newsletter selling your address to anybody.

Which retailers we earn from

Amazon, and only Amazon. Our Amazon Associates tracking tag is nozzleandbed-20.

We are not currently part of any other affiliate network, and we do not build tracked links for programs we have not joined. If that changes, this page changes with it.

What commission does not affect

• Which product is our top pick. Where a cheaper option is the better answer for the reader, the cheaper option is the pick, regardless of what it pays.
• The order of a list. Ranking follows the six criteria on how we pick, and nothing else.
• What we say about a product. Every product on this site carries an explicit “skip this one if” section and a statement of what we could not assess. Those do not get softened for anybody.
• Whether a product appears at all. We link products that answer the question. Where the honest answer is “do not buy anything,” that is what the page says — see is a 3D printer worth it, which includes a full section on who should not buy one.

How to spot an affiliate link

Three ways, all of them on every earning link:

• Every buy button is marked #ad underneath, with a link back to this page.
• A disclosure notice appears above the first affiliate link on every commercial page, not just in the footer.
• Every outbound earning link carries rel="sponsored nofollow" in the page source, which is the machine-readable version of the same statement.

About prices

Prices on this site come from a live data layer, refreshed daily, and they are stamped with the date they were retrieved. Where we do not hold a current price for a product, the button says check price and no number appears.

We never write a price into an article. Prices in this category move weekly, and a number typed into a page is wrong within a month. The retailer’s own page is always the authority.

What we are not

We are not a retailer. We do not hold stock, take payment, ship anything, or handle returns. If something you bought through one of our links arrives damaged or is wrong, the retailer is who you need — though if a product turns out to be worse than our page suggested, we do want to hear about it, because that is a correction we should make.
